Spacecraft anomaly prediction

WP 200: Spacecraft anomaly forecast system (IRF-K)

Under this work package several Neural Network algorithms have been used in order to investigate the ability of such techniques to predict environment induced anomaly on geostationnary orbits with the help of space based and ground based measurements of space weather. The results of this study (cf. e.g. a paper presented at the 6th Spacecraft Charging Technology Conference by Andersson et al.) have motivated the development of an operational forecast system in the frame of a new contract.
